Nottingham Street
Description: A view up Nottingham Street from the town centre on a typical Market Day. The pub lantern on the far right belongs to the Bell Hotel. The 'Bass' sign further along hangs outside the Half Moon pub. It's interesting to see how the tradition of uncovered stalls – or 'tables' – meant there was little shelter for either stall-holders or their goods.
