Fantastic work. I have really enjoyed your videos on YouTube. Clare G.

Reply: Thanks Clare. The YouTube clips are proving really popular. I posted all the chapters at the same time, but the 'Now & Then' chapter is proving by far the most popular.

I just wanted to say how absolutely fantastic your work on the Melton DVD and website is. I have so enjoyed sitting with my grandmother, (who was born 1912), and seeing a little of how the town and life was when she was a child.

Your production is excellent and I am enjoying looking through your web pages which are very well presented and extremely easy to use. Thank you so much and congratulations. L C.

It is fascinating to see the old photographs and to try and put them into context with the present day. Then, you give the comparisons. Fantastic and very professionally produced. David B.

Fantastic site. I wonder why there are so few photos of Nottingham Road. Ashley

Reply: I do have a lot more photos - including some great ones of Nottingham Road. If this DVD sells well, I'll do a second one. And extend the area outside the town centre. David.

PS. Here's one example of Nottingham Road.

Your site for Remember Melton Mowbray is very impressive. The “Compare Past & Present” feature on the images is simple and wonderfully effective. It looks like some of the images have been coloured, but this seems to work fine. James.

Reply: Some of the postcards are hand coloured. But they’re all originals, and that’s how they were sold. David.

I found your super Melton site last night when I was looking for pictures of old Melton to use with my class at school. The interactive now and then is fantastic. As we are in Melton is it possible to pick two copies up from you, or must they come by post? Elizabeth C.

Reply: Both Melton Bookshop on Leicester Street, and WH Smith in the Market Place, are stocking the DVDs. David.

Stop press: WH Smith have been told by their Head Office that they can no longer buy stock locally – despite selling more than 150 of the DVDs in the run up to Christmas. But Melton Bookshop in Leicester Street are selling them, as well as the Carnegie Museum in Sherrard Street.

Have just seen both the mention in "The Melton Times" and your web site, very impressive! Ken M.
